New Year Reflections 2024

Hey everyone, it's Clarissa here, it's been a chilly week, and I hope you're keeping warm! Working from home, especially with the cold weather (and being pregnant), is quite a challenge for me. I love the flexibility, but sitting at my desk feels a bit too frosty for my liking.

I've just about recovered from last weekend's Grub Alternative Wedding Fair – such a blast! Connecting with fellow wedding suppliers in person, instead of just exchanging messages on Instagram, was a refreshing change.

Special shout-outs to my couples from 2024 who attended the fair; it warmed my heart to catch up face to face. Excited for the next wedding fair, where we'll be mixing things up!

Business-wise, my focus this year is on reflecting on Grace In Spring Weddings. I need to take stock of my hire items, organize my garage better, and enhance the overall service for my couples.

While I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of my baby in February (due on the 18th), the wedding season kicks off in mid-May – super exciting! Plus, I can't contain my excitement about seeing Taylor Swift in June 2024 – cue girly screams! Planning my post-partum outfit is the next task on my list.

A personal win for me is getting my taxes in order – a task that usually brings dread. Finding a new, local accountant who understood my needs was a game-changer. Now, I can focus on my business and the final weeks of pregnancy without the added stress.

While I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions, I'm thrilled to channel my excitement into improving my business services.

A heartfelt "Thank You!" to my fellow wedding suppliers for their inspiration and warm acceptance. Transitioning from a different career isn't easy, but the supportive community in the Manchester wedding industry has made it an incredible journey.

To my amazing couples, past and present, thank you for being awesome and true to yourselves. Cheers to a fantastic year ahead!
